Job Description
Our Canadian-owned services company that operates globally is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team near Pearson Airport. This is a newly created role to assist with the growth of the organization. Reporting into the Controller, you will have 1-2 direct reports and be responsible for monthly financial reports, month and year end closes and reconciliations.
Please note: this position requires you to be in Ontario and in the local area, as this is an on-site position.

Responsibilities:
- Review monthly financials
- Review backup schedules such as depreciation, inventory, and other supporting documents for month and year-end financial statements
- Ensure monthly reconciliation of all general ledger accounts and bank accounts are up to date to ensure accuracy and issues are resolved and/or escalated
- Manage an efficient and effective financial close and answer any inquires related to the financial results
- Continuously improve the quality of financial reporting and analysis
- Streamline and automate routine accounting processes and activities
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounting experience (ideally 1+ year as a Sr. Accountant)
- Must have strong excel skills
- Must have Canadian experience
- Knowledge of Sage50 and QuickBooks an asset
