Job Description
Our well-known, established mid-sized manufacturing client has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Coordinator. This is a permanent full-time position, available immediately. This position is ideal for a Food Science (or similar discipline) graduate with 2+ years of quality assurance/quality control work experience from a food processing or food manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis of incoming products
- Verify finished product samples against production reports to ensure the lab has received samples for all skids produced
- Perform analysis of finished product
- Coordinate 3rd party analysis of testing as required
- Report out of spec results to supervisor
- Perform housekeeping duties as required
- Perform GMP related inspections as required
- Perform Internal auditing of SQF SOPs, GMPs, and work instructions
- Work alongside QA/QC Manager to implement new and/or improve on existing quality programs
- Assist QA/QC Manager with CAR root cause analysis
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager as directed/required
Job Requirements
- MINIMUM 2 years experience in a food manufacturing facility, in a QC or QA capacity
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, or relevant program of study
- 2+ years experience working with a Food Safety/Food Quality program such as HACCP, ISO or SQF
- Excellent organization, time management and English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Above-average computer and data entry skills
- A positive attitude, demonstrated initiative and leadership skills
