Job Description

Our client, an established and growing manufacturing company in Burlington, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Director of Finance to join their team! Reporting to the CFO, this position will lead a small team and be responsible for financial reporting, planning, and analysis while partnering closely with operations and senior leadership. The Director of Finance plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial results, supporting strategic decisions, and driving operational and financial performance. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep accounting expertise, and hands-on experience working in the manufacturing industry. This is an in-office position working as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting, analyze monthly financial results and provide strategic insight to senior management
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor a small accounting team
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
  • Identify cost saving opportunities and process improvements
  • Lead the annual budgeting process
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; CPA designation is required
  • 10+ years of financial leadership experience in the manufacturing industry, working effectively with senior management to drive operational excellence
  • Candidates must display proven leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are required for success in this position
  • Candidates must be proficient with ERP systems, and possess advanced MS Excel skills
  • This is an in-office position in Burlington
