Our client is actively seeking an experienced and adaptable Assistant Controller to join their small team. Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, and complete month-end/year-end processes and reporting for various legal entities.
- Prepare annual budgets and longer-term planning/forecasts.
- Prepare and present financial reports (management and performance reporting) and packages for senior leadership.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Mentor a team of Senior Accountants and provide leadership and support to their tasks.
 Qualifications and Experience:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally from a small to mid-sized client facing organization
- A candidate coming from public accounting, private equity, or asset management is preferred but not required
- CPA Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Proficiency with accounting software required; Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
- Growth mindset and looking to take on new challenges
- High level of organization and detail orientation
- Strong communication skills
