Responsibilities:
- Oversee and mentor a team of at least two general accountants, including CPA candidates.
- Build strong, face-to-face relationships with the operations team across various locations.
- Integrate effectively into a newly structured finance team, adapting to an elevated controller role.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations.
- Contribute to shaping divisional processes and support business growth initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with direct reports and the operations team to provide financial insights.
Qualifications:
- A CPA designation is a mandatory requirement for this role.
- Willingness for travel (approximately 10% of the time, 2 days a month) to locations throughout Southern Ontario.
- Experience in manufacturing or construction is required.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team.
- A personable approach and the ability to work effectively with diverse communication styles.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Oracle ERP is a plus, but not a requirement.
