This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in general/project accounting, ideally with experience in a construction/development environment.

- Report directly to the VP Finance and work closely with senior leadership and Project Management teams

Primary Responsibilities:
- Own and execute full-cycle accounting and GL records for multiple legal entities
- Perform monthly reconciliation for multiple bank accounts and file monthly HST returns for multiple legal entities
- Oversee the Accounts Payable team, which processes high-volume payment runs
- Work closely with project Managers on job costing and project accounting for active construction projects
- Perform intercompany transactions, complex journal entries, and year-end processes
- Improve and document accounting processes; support audits and compliance efforts
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting, at least 3 years of experience in a construction or development environment
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Ability to quickly learn new systems/software
- Advanced Excel skills
- High level of organization and detail orientation
- Self-motivated and good problem-solving skills
