Job Description
Our privately held, Canadian family owned and operated construction client is looking to bring on an Accounting Manager in this newly created role, due to the growth of business. Reporting into the Controller and working with a team of 8 others, this role will be responsible for the transactional day-to-day accounting, processing payroll and assisting with National Service Operations.
Please note: this position requires you to be in Ontario and in the local area, as this is an on-site position.

Responsibilities:
- Complete journal entries, month-end and year-end duties
- Prepare financial reports for Operations
- Assist with updating annual and quarterly budget/forecast templates
- Handle tax and government remittances
- Handle account and bank reconciliations
- Assist with GL accountability, monitor overhead and recoveries, expense review, cost control and audit preparations
- Complete monthly variance analysis
- Prepare working papers for external auditors
- Assist Controller with ad hoc requests
Qualifications:
- CPA is a MUST
- A steady individual who enjoys transactional work
- Construction experience an asset
