Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting and finance operations, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Manage government filings and act as the banking liaison.
- Lead collection efforts on aging accounts and manage cash resources.
- Assist with tracking and reporting financial position, cash flow, forecasting, and cost controls.
- Produce accurate monthly P&L statements and weekly cash flow reports.
- Collaborate effectively with external partners (e.g., MNP, banks) and internal project managers.
- Participate in the management committee, administering meetings.
- Evaluate and improve existing accounting systems and processes, and propose more efficient alternatives.
- Contribute at a strategic level, providing financial insights and leadership beyond operational tasks.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of accounting experience in small to mid-sized organizations with broad accounting experience
- CPA is preferred
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to provide strategic advice.
- Proficiency in Excel is essential and larger ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a small team.
