Job Description

Our well-established client in the manufacturing industry is on the hunt for a progressive or steady, career-focused Accounts Receivable Specialist, who is eager to grow within a supportive and collaborative environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with some prior AR experience and detail oriented who’s passionate about managing vendor relationships and excited to develop their skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to pursue outstanding payments in accordance with internal Credit & Collections protocols.
  • Conduct reconciliation of key construction accounts and partner systems, ensuring timely invoice submissions and tracking follow-ups through client-specific portals.
  • Manage and log progress billing and draw payments for various projects.
  • Prepare and distribute customer statements and invoices.
  • Process daily payments from clients, including electronic transfers, cheques, and credit card transactions, ensuring proper documentation and archival for future access.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or account issues in cooperation with internal departments and escalate when necessary to the Credit Manager.
  • Perform regular reviews of the AR aging report to ensure alignment with internal financial policies.
  • Maintain and update customer accounts in accordance with established credit guidelines.
  • Submit and track requests for account holds, credit memos, and potential write-offs pending approval.
  • Oversee and report on the balance and activity of prepaid accounts related to key projects.
  • Collect and maintain accurate records of tax documentation, including exemption certificates, and manage timely renewals and tax-related updates.
  • Handle customer requests related to insurance documentation, waiver forms, and proof of delivery requirements.
  • Provide supporting documentation for audit inquiries when requested.
  • Participate in various other tasks as needed to support financial operations.

Qualifications:

  • Whether you are a progressive or steady individual, someone who is eager to continue growing/learning within the company
  • B2B AR experience strongly preferred
  • Someone detail oriented and analytical
