Our client is looking to hire a Bilingual Accounting Supervisor, reporting to an Area Director of Finance, working out of the Anjou, Quebec office. As the Accounting Supervisor you will perform complex accounting tasks such as preparing balance sheet reconciliations, month end closing entries, ensure compliance with financial regulations and oversee, train and conduct evaluations for a team of 3.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor standard cost system in ERP

Supervises monthly close activities. Prepare/oversee preparation of income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements

Organize and schedule all necessary resources required to accomplish activities.

Analyze and reconcile financial information and general ledger accounts

Provide financial support to various internal managers.

Train, conducts evaluations, and manage productivity of employees.

Approve AP invoices and P-card transactions and customer account credits.

Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
- Maintaining inventory costs
Job Requirements
- minimum 5 years experience in progressively responsible accounting roles with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity
- CPA designation or at the final stages is a must
- bilingual in French and English - both written and spoken
- strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to effectively build relationships with the team and other internal managers
