Our client is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Contract Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join their dynamic team for a 12 month contract. Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the team, manage and process bi-weekly payroll for Canadian employees, ensuring accurate deductions and timely completion.
- Utilize a ticketing system to provide support for payroll and benefits-related inquiries.
- Potentially travel very occasionally to assist with acquisitions, attend company events, or mail tax forms.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of well-rounded payroll experience, with multi-provincial payroll exposure (including Quebec) and experience with year-end activities.
- Experience with Workday is a must
- Strong independent work ethic and self-starter, while still being a team player who can effectively communicate and collaborate in a virtual work environment.
- Willingness to work roughly 44 hours per week (paid hourly).
- Prior experience working with a ticketing system for customer service.
- Preferred qualifications: bilingual in French and English, experience with unionized payroll, PCP or PLP designation
