Key Responsibilities:
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Month-end financial reporting
- Primary contact for all insurance and banking relationships.
- Coordinate with external IT contractors to maintain IT system
- Oversee AP, AR, bi-weekly Payroll approval, Gov't remittances including payroll and corporate tax.
- Develop and maintain KPIs and financial models
- Set-up and maintain physical inventory for production materials
- Cash flow forecast, Treasury functions, & FX Hedging where required
- Work with engineering and operations to establish project budgets, set-up and maintain actual and project costs
- Preparation of monthly Financial statements
- Variance reporting
- Review and provide input on all contracts
- Ensure financial compliance
- Fiscal Yearend Financial Review & Taxes
- Annual SR&ED Tracking
- Update and maintain financial projections as required
- Manage, coach & mentor accounting and administrative team
- Ad hoc projects as required
Qualifications:
- CPA designation is required
- 5 plus years of progressive accounting experience
- Manufacturing industry experience is required for this opportunity
- Excellent financial analysis, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- A hands-on approach to accounting and finance, willing to get your "hands dirty"
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborative work with other departments, including Engineering and Operations
