Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the closing processes for both month-end and year-end, ensuring the preparation of financial statements and other key operational reports on a timely basis.

• Review and investigate financial variances, providing explanations and suggesting actionable steps to management for improvement.

• Collaborate with teams across various levels and departments within the organization to meet both plant and company-wide objectives.

• Take the lead in onboarding and training new team members, while also fostering the continuous professional growth of current staff.

• Share and promote best practices in areas like process optimization, financial modeling, and procedure updates with Plant leadership.

• Offer proactive insights, advice, and education on complex financial and operational issues to departmental leaders, helping to inform business decisions.

• Work closely with senior leadership, including the VP/General Manager, to interpret results, recommend improvements, drive projects, identify inefficiencies, and lead in-depth analyses of operations.

• Ensure the implementation and monitoring of internal controls within the plant, in alignment with corporate policies, to safeguard assets, ensure reporting accuracy, and identify potential risks.

Requirements: 

• To be considered for this opportunity you must have strong project construction experience
• CPA considered an asset but not required
• Strong Excel skills
