Our client in the service industry is looking to add a Controller to their team! This role, which is based out of Waterloo, will report to the owner and oversees two direct reports, while managing the accounting process such as government remittances, month end, budgeting and more.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, sales tax computations, and other accounting duties in a timely manner
• Oversee AR, AP and payroll processes
• Assist with year-end audits
• Process, file and pay government remittances and meet deadlines
• Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers and databases

• Experience working at smaller company at Management level
• Experience managing 1+ direct reports required
• Sage experience considered an asset
• Must have strong technical skills
