Our client, a reputable real estate/property management company, is actively seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on CPA with a strong background in property/real estate accounting.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee all finance and accounting activities related to investments, properties, and developments. Â
- Prepare annual budgets, timely financial statements, variance analyses, and internal management reports for several legal entities.
- Oversee and manage a small team of property accountants.
- Manage complex cash flow, AP/AR, and all banking activities for the entire portfolio.
- Maintain financial controls and ensure compliance.
- Improve and document accounting processes; support audits and compliance efforts.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting in a real estate/property management environment
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- CPA designation required
- People leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience using Yardi, and ability to quickly learn new systems/software
- Advanced Excel skills
- High level of organization and detail orientation
- Self-motivated and hands-on, enjoys being involved in the numbers and operations
