Job Description

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Professional to join our client in the Burlington area! Reporting to the Principal, the Director of Finance will play a key role in closely monitoring the financial health of the Family Office. This is a hands-on role responsible for financial management, reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, taxation, compliance, cash flow management and is heavily project based. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting. Please note this is an in-office position in Burlington.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely, accurate monthly and quarterly financial reporting to support strategic business decisions
  • Review and analyze financial performance of current and upcoming projects/business ventures
  • Monitor and report on budget variances, identifying areas of concern and suggesting corrective actions
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and projections
  • Corporate governance and compliance
  • Effectively manage and foster strong relationships with external stakeholders and investors
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Participate in RFQ process for significant projects and investments
  • Ad-hoc analysis
  • Additional responsibilities as required

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business; CPA designation is required
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience, preferably in the construction or real estate industry
  • Prior experience dealing with Private Equity or Investments is strongly preferred
  • Candidates should thrive working in a fast-paced dynamic environment and have the proven ability to work independently on multiple projects
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting, forecasting and variance analysis is required
  • Candidates must have a proven track record of developing quality relationships with internal and external partners including Lawyers, Tax Advisors, banks etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with any level of an organization is essential for success in this position
  • Strong MS Office skills are required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
