Job Description


Our client, an established and growing company within the transportation and logistics industry is seeking a strategic, results-oriented Director of Operations to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity to join a business undergoing a period of transformation and growth with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency. This role offers the chance to make a substantial impact by shaping the operational strategy, optimizing processes, and expanding client relationships. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and manage a large, dynamic team, contributing directly to the company's overall efficiency and growth.

Responsibilities include:
  • Lead and develop the operations team
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve efficiency
  • Identify and resolve contract issues and service delivery challenges to ensure profitability and alignment
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure adherence to agreed terms
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with senior stakeholders to align operational and commercial strategies
  • Foster a culture of accountability, adaptability, and continuous learning
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience within transportation, logistics, or supply chain environments with 3+ years of hands-on operations leadership 
  • Strong business acumen with proven contract negotiation experience
  • Track record of driving process improvements and implementing operational efficiencies
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and influencing teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication skills and attention to detail are required for success in this role
