Finance Administrator

They are seeking an experienced Finance Administrator to join their small, dedicated team in Burlington. This role primarily focuses on accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll, touching on some inventory management and financial reporting. Responsibilities:
- Invoice and post cash receipts
- Create and prepare monthly customer statements and assist with collections as needed
- Manage customer master files and handle various AR-related issues
- Generate monthly interest invoices and manage banking
- Prepare and post vendor invoices daily; Manage vendor master files and coordinate cheque runs
- Mail cheques and resolve various AP-related issues
- Maintain employee records, including attendance and timesheets
- Process biweekly payroll for shop employees and semi-monthly payroll for office employees
- Remit payroll withholdings to Revenue Canada semi-monthly
- Prepare Record of Employment forms as necessary and balance year-end records for T4s
- Address various payroll-related matters
- Manage inventory-related accounting tasks
- Prepare and generate various financial reports on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly basis
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor bank accounts
- Manage petty cash and coordinate inter-account transfers as needed
- Support financial control for departments (Production, R&D, Marketing) and assists in preparing budgets, reports, and cost analysis for these departments
- Assist with forecasting and ensure accuracy of departmental financial reports
- Fill in for the Order Processing Specialist during their absence, along with performing regular duties
Qualifications:
- Experienced bookkeeper: 10+ years
- Manufacturing experience an asset
- A self-starter and can improve processes
- Strong communication skills are a must
- Someone local to Burlington
