Job Description
Our client, a rapidly growing construction company, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented General Accountant to join their small, fast-paced finance team. - Process accounts payable efficiently and accurately, managing a high volume of invoices daily.
- Conduct invoicing and follow-up calls for accounts receivable, including collections and rapport-building with clients and vendors.
- Reconcile credit card statements thoroughly.
- Monitor the Daily Commercial News for substantially completed jobs to bill for holdbacks.
- Actively participate in month-end processes, ensuring timely entry of all items into the system.
- Handle ad hoc reporting and wear multiple hats during busy periods like year-end.
- Utilize the Spire system and demonstrate strong Excel skills.
- Diploma in Accounting required.
- 2-3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Strong communication and people skills, with confidence in phone interactions with clients and vendors.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to workflow changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with the construction industry is a great asset.
