General Accountant
Job Description
Our privately owned and growing services company is seeking a General Accountant to join their team fully in office, near the Mount Forest area. This individual will report into the Controller and be part of a small team of 2 others. They will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close processes, some financial reporting and other ad hoc tasks.
Please note: this position requires you to be in Ontario and in the local area, as this is an on-site position.

Responsibilities:
- Accurately record and reconcile journal entries.
- Maintain and update the general ledger.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports as required.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions as needed.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree of Accounting Diploma
- Minimum 3+ years of general accounting experience
- Excellent communication skills
