Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the first point of contact for all HR related issues
- Coordinate employee recruitment, onboarding and HR documentation
- Support payroll processes and liaise with external payroll providers
- Administer employee benefits programs
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee records and HR files
- Support policy implementation related to workplace procedures and compliance.
- Manage office administration, including systems, documentation, and reporting
- Support leadership with scheduling, communication, and day-to-day priorities
- Coordinate office operations, including vendors, supplies, and office related needs
- Prepare meeting materials, coordinate meetings, and support internal communication
- Champion a positive and collaborative workplace culture
- Postsecondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or Business Administration;Â CHRP Certification is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in HR support roles
- Experience working in a unionized setting is beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information with integrity and professionalism
- Proven experience working effectively with external vendors and service providers
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are critical for success in this role
- Candidates must have the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based software is required
- This is an in-office positionÂ
