Job Description
Our client, a respected organization in the Ontario region, is seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Human Resources Generalist for a 3–6 month contract, with the possibility of extension. This role is ideal for an HR professional who brings strong employee relations expertise, confidence in advising leaders, and the ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the on-site HR lead, supporting managers and employees across multiple departments
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
- Provide guidance on employee relations, attendance, progressive discipline, and conflict resolution
- Ensure HR practices comply with employment standards, labour regulations, and health & safety requirements
- Support payroll administration, benefits coordination, and maintenance of accurate employee records
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, scheduling, and staffing needs
- Support investigations and documentation for workplace issues with fairness and confidentiality
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and staff training activities
- Assist with policy updates, process improvements, and HR reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least three years in a generalist or advisory role
- Experience in healthcare or a regulated environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build strong relationships and manage sensitive issues with discretion
- HR certification (CHRP or CHRL) is an asset
