Responsibilities:
- Support HR Business Partners for the eastern region (Quebec, Ontario, Maritimes).
- Handle administrative HR tasks, including drafting employee discipline letters.
- Conduct first-level conversations with managers regarding HR matters.
- Assist with HR investigations and acquisitions.
- Provide support to unionized employees.
- Collaborate closely with managers and other HR team members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employees across diverse business lines (construction, tech, mechanics).
Qualifications:
- Mandatory bilingualism in French and English, with the ability to fluidly switch between languages and accurately translate HR-sensitive terms.
- Strong understanding of provincial employment legislation across various provinces, or proven resourcefulness in finding this information.
- Exceptional initiative, resourcefulness, and adaptability to prioritize and pivot with business needs.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in a unionized environment is a plus.
- Proficiency with HRIS Workday is beneficial
