Our client is seeking a driven and adaptable HR Generalist to join their collaborative HR team. You will have the chance to expand your expertise from administrative tasks to leading investigations and providing key recommendations, all while supporting a diverse workforce across multiple provinces.

Responsibilities:
  • Support HR Business Partners for the eastern region (Quebec, Ontario, Maritimes).
  • Handle administrative HR tasks, including drafting employee discipline letters.
  • Conduct first-level conversations with managers regarding HR matters.
  • Assist with HR investigations and acquisitions.
  • Provide support to unionized employees.
  • Collaborate closely with managers and other HR team members.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees across diverse business lines (construction, tech, mechanics).

Qualifications:
  • Mandatory bilingualism in French and English, with the ability to fluidly switch between languages and accurately translate HR-sensitive terms.
  • Strong understanding of provincial employment legislation across various provinces, or proven resourcefulness in finding this information.
  • Exceptional initiative, resourcefulness, and adaptability to prioritize and pivot with business needs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency with HRIS Workday is beneficial
