Job Description
Our client, a long-standing and respected medical organization, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager to lead their Canadian payroll operations. If you are a driven professional with a passion for precise payroll management and team leadership, this opportunity offers significant impact within a growing global company.
This role is crucial for managing the payroll for approximately 800 Canadian employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance across various provinces. You will be instrumental in overseeing full-cycle payroll, pension and benefits administration, and year-end reporting, while fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute Canadian payroll operations, including hands-on processing of commissions, hourly wages, and salaried employee payroll.
- Oversee all aspects of pension and benefits administration.
- Lead and mentor a team of two payroll members, fostering their professional development.
- Conduct thorough auditing of full-cycle payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage year-end responsibilities and reporting.
- Interact with employees at all levels, providing education and training on payroll, pension, and benefits.
- Collaborate with HR leads and the finance team to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- Strong full-cycle payroll experience with interprovincial payroll exposure.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and mentoring a team.
- Proficiency with Ceridian Dayforce an asset.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and record keeping.
- Experience with defined contribution pension plans and benefits administration.
- Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, efficient, and deadline-driven.
- Experience managing payroll for a mid-sized organization is preferred.
