Contract Payroll Administrator
Job Description
Our large, private, Canadian client is looking to hire a Payroll Administrator for a 1-year contract, with the possibility to extend or go permanent! If you hold a PCP designation and bring 4+ years of full-cycle payroll experience, keep reading—we want to hear from you!
This position will involve processing payroll in a multiple pay-cycle environment, supporting entities across various provinces. The role requires strong expertise in payroll systems and compliance and will offer an opportunity to work within a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. This is an essential role within the company, focusing on accuracy and efficiency in payroll administration while working closely with other internal departments.

Responsibilities:
- Process payroll data in the payroll system, ensuring accuracy in employee records and payroll settings.
- Input and verify timecard data for accurate payroll calculations.
- Ensure payroll processing complies with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Review and correct payroll data to ensure accuracy.
- Respond to general payroll inquiries and provide assistance with payroll-related matters.
- Prepare and submit required remittances, including deductions and contributions.
- Assist with year-end payroll tasks and reconciliation.
- Generate and distribute periodic payroll reports as needed.
- Track and manage employee vacation balances.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Perform other payroll-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- PCP designation a MUST
- 4+ years of payroll processing experience in a unionized environment
- Ideally have multi-provincial experience, with QB, ON and/or BC being a big asset
