Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage planning applications, including Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments, Site Plans, and Minor Variances.
- Draft planning documents and support the planning and design process from visioning to implementation.
- Coordinate and liaise with clients, municipal staff, and consultants.
- Conduct policy research, provide feedback on development concepts, and present at Council and Committee meetings.
- Monitor planning policies and legislative changes.
Qualifications:
- 4–6 years of professional experience in urban planning or a related field.
- Degree in Urban Planning or a related discipline and full OPPI/CIP membership.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online platforms like Teams and Zoom.
- Solid understanding of urban planning and design practices within the Kitchener and Waterloo region.
