Reporting to the President and Director of Purchasing, the Purchasing Manager will have 2 direct reports and will oversee all purchasing activities. This person will be responsible for strategic level decisions when it comes to purchasing.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis of material needs using sales projections
- Monitor inventory, with an eye on min/max settings to ensure accuracy and availability of supply for customer demands
- Analyze market trends to forecast and create purchasing plan
- Evaluate vendors based on performance
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors
- Create annual purchasing budget
- Provide support to Buyers and handle any escalations that arise
- Enhance purchasing procedures
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role in Purchasing
- Post secondary education in Purchasing, or Supply Chain is an asset
- Experience with ERP systems
- Ability to be based either in west GTA OR Southwestern Ontario, ability to travel to 3 locations
