Job Description
For over 40 years our client's diverse solutions have included a range of product lines focused on residential, agricultural, industrial, commercial, and institutional market applications. As they continue to grow they are targeting a candidate with strategic leadership experience in Procurement to join their team to oversee day to day purchasing. This role can be based either in the west GTA or in Southwestern Ontario. This is an IN OFFICE role.

Reporting to the President, the Purchasing Manager will have 2 direct reports and will oversee all purchasing activities. This person will be responsible for strategic level decisions when it comes to purchasing.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis of material needs using sales projections
- Monitor inventory, with an eye on min/max settings to ensure accuracy and availability of supply for customer demands
- Analyze market trends to forecast and create purchasing plan
- Evaluate vendors based on performance
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors
- Create annual purchasing budget
- Provide support to Buyers and handle any escalations that arise
- Enhance purchasing procedures
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role in Purchasing
- Post secondary education in Purchasing, or Supply Chain is an asset
- Experience with ERP systems
- Ability to be based either in west GTA OR Southwestern Ontario, ability to travel to 3 locations weekly
