Our established client located in Southern Alberta is growing!  They have an immediate opening for a Quality Control Technician.   This is a permanent full-time position, available immediately.  This position is ideal for a career-driven candidate with 1+ years of laboratory/sampling experience and knowledge of Food Safety, GMP and HACCP protocols.  *Facility is a 40 minute drive from Medicine Hat - therefore, candidates must have reliable transportation and be willing to commute to work (or be open to relocation).

Responsibilities:

Performing analysis of incoming samples

Perform chemical and physical testing (including grading) on samples

Verify finished goods to production reports to ensure all product has been sampled

Various activities relating to the Canadian Grain Sampling Program

Housekeeping and general upkeep of the lab

Other duties as assigned

Completion of Food Safety, GMP and HACCP training

1+ years of relevant work experience (manufacturing or laboratory)

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, or relevant program of study is an asset

Excellent organization, time management and communication skills (verbal and written)

Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
