Job Description
Our growing real estate client in Hamilton is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their head office, on a contract-to-hire basis.
Reporting into the Director of Finance, this individual will work on assisting with month end close, journal entries, inter-company reconciliations, bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities:
- Work with various financial analyses and reports
- Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets
- Act as a back up to Payroll as required
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- Assist with annual audit preparations, as well as investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance
- Prepare federal, state, local tax returns
- Assist the Director, Finance with developing processes and procedure documentation
- Support Junior staff when needed
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- 5+ years accounting experience
- Experience with inter-company transactions
- Month-end close experience
- Someone analytical and can problem solve on their own
- CPA is an asset
