Job Description

Our banking client in Hamilton is looking for a Senior Accountant to start ASAP on a 6+ month contract. There is potential for this position to go beyond 6 months or potentially become full-time.

Working directly with the CFO, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with month end close
  • Completing Journal entries
  • Reconciliations: loan books, deposit books, etc
  • Preparing financial packages for regulators

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of month end close experience
  • basic IFRS knowledge 
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Candidates with experience working in Financial Services will have an advantage.
