My client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their corporate head office in the Niagara Region.

- Responsible for external and internal financial reporting processes.
- Ensures compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Analyzes financial statements and other financial results.
- Responsible for Corporate business unit accounting.
- Analyzes data to support business decision-making.
- Prepares monthly and quarterly tax provisions including related journal entries and reconciliation.
- Responsible for assisting with Canadian and foreign jurisdiction corporate tax filings.
- Communicates as necessary with federal and provincial tax authorities to ensure tax returns are assessed and/or
- reassessed correctly.
- Assists with tax-related enquiries from other departments or tax advisors.
- Assists with tax planning opportunities.
- Liaises with the financial team leaders of the Company's individual business units.
- Liaises with external auditors in regards to financial reporting and tax-specific inquiries
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
- Canadian CPA designation.
- 3-5 years experience (ideally in a public company environment, with multi-jurisdictional and multi-currency)
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and income tax legislations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and superior communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
