Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Administrator, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the administrative department and supporting the leadership team to ensure that all administrative duties are effectively managed, and that all administrative requests are fulfilled in a timely manner. 

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in administrative procedures and policies, will excel at multi-tasking and time management, and will confidently accept accountability for ensuring the seamless and efficient completion of administrative support functions.  They will be experienced in supporting C-suite executives in a corporate office setting and have supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and communicate administrative procedures, while constantly looking for opportunities to streamline processes where and when possible
  • Oversee clerical support personnel, allocate responsibilities and provide coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency and output of administrative work
  • Ensure a smooth and adequate flow of information to company stakeholders to facilitate timely communication and business operations
  • Manage schedules and deadlines
  • Oversee the maintenance of office equipment to ensure good working order and maintain a sufficient inventory of office supplies
  • Ensure operations adhere to policies and regulations
  • Personally assist leadership team with any specific administrative requests; assist clerical support personnel as required to meet deadlines during periods of peak work-flow
  • Keep abreast with all organizational changes and business developments to understand and anticipate additional work requirements

 

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in a senior administrative capacity
  • In-depth understanding of office management policies/procedures, including a familiarity with financial and facilities management principles
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel  
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving skills
  • Intuitive and approachable
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • A team player with leadership skills and several years of supervisory experience
  • Post-secondary education in business administration or relative field is an asset
  • Able to work on site, regular business hours, Monday to Friday
