Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst (SFA)
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Vaughn/Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)
Job Type: Full Time, Salaried

Join a fast-growing, innovative company with a passion for crafting delicious food! With two bustling locations in Vaughan and Mississauga, our client specializes in processing for private labels and direct retail, serving major grocery chains across the U.S. Our client’s workplace thrives on teamwork, continuous learning, and a strong commitment to excellence and believes in fostering a supportive, growth-focused environment where employees can develop their careers and make an impact.

Job Summary:
We’re on the lookout for a talented and driven Senior Financial Analyst to join our client's finance team! In this key role, you'll provide valuable insights and support critical financial operations, helping steer strategic decisions that shape the future of the business. If you have a strong foundation in manufacturing accounting, top-tier Excel skills, and thrive in cross-functional collaboration, this could be the perfect fit. Plus, there's a clear path to grow into a CFO role down the line—so if you're ready to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
This role is at the heart of financial operations:
  • You’ll ensure seamless monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes, with hands-on involvement in physical inventory counts across both facilities. You'll dive deep into accounting records—examining invoices, purchase orders, and the general ledger—to maintain accuracy and budget compliance.
  • From posting payroll entries to handling daily bank reconciliations, wire payments, and cash flow forecasts, you'll be driving financial stability. Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with the Sales Administrator to ensure precise customer pricing and trade management updates in the ERP system.
  • Inventory oversight will be a regular task, identifying risks and maintaining provision calculations, while keeping product bill of materials current. You'll also delve into standard costing systems, analyzing production variances for accuracy.
  • Your expertise will ensure compliance with accounting practices and audit requirements, while continuously refining internal controls and processes. You'll play a pivotal role in financial reporting, general ledger structure, and audit preparations.
  • You'll take charge of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring every detail is accounted for. Managing the fixed asset subledger will be in your hands, keeping assets accurate, depreciation monitored, and placements aligned with the correct useful life.
  • Beyond the numbers, this position offers opportunities to optimize systems, improve processes, and contribute to the company's overall financial success!
Qualifications & Skills:
  • a numbers-savvy pro with at least 5 years of experience in financial accounting within a manufacturing setting.
  • Bonus points if you're working toward a CPA designation or have equivalent expertise
  • a master of Excel skills and fluency in accounting software—handling everything from general ledger and accounts payable to accounts receivable and financial statement generation
You should demonstrate sound judgment, strategic problem-solving abilities, and effective negotiation skills, contributing to well-informed decision-making. Your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a collaborative approach, will foster strong working relationships and a positive organizational culture. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to bring their A-game to a company that values accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork.
