Key Responsibilities:
- Manage planning applications and oversee the process from submission to decision.
- Draft planning-related documents and participate in all phases of the planning and design process.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and liaise with clients, municipal staff, and consultants.
- Attend Council and Committee meetings and conduct policy research to identify opportunities.
- Monitor updates in planning policies and legislation.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in urban planning or related fields.
- Degree in Urban Planning or a related discipline
- Â A full OPPI/CIP membership is required
- Strong oral and written communication, organizational, and team collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online platforms like Teams and Zoom.
- Solid understanding of urban planning and design within the Kitchener and Waterloo region.
