Our client, a Canadian based production company, is looking to hire a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to join their Brampton location.  The qualified candidate will work closely under the guidance of the Logistics Manager to monitor and ensure that trucks are safely loaded, all while providing direction to other shipping employees.

Responsibilities:

• Properly lead a small team of shipping staff
• Ensure all company policies are followed and adhered to for safe work practices
• Making sure that company shipping quality standards and all established delivery commitments are met
• Conduct quality audits on loaded trucks to make sure standards are met
• Making sure the shipping yard is maintained and tidy
• Coach and train Shipping Lead Hands and other shipping staff
• Safely operate various material handling equipment as needed


Requirements:

• 5 years of shipping experience
• Previous supervisory experience
• Forklift and overhead crane certification
• Strong hands-on leadership and coaching experience
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
