They're looking for a Financial Controller to take ownership of accounting and financial operations across the company, reporting directly to the General Manager. This is a role for someone who wants to lead the finance function but also genuinely enjoys being in the details - from monthly close to construction loan draws to land purchase analysis.

Provide financial analysis and strategic counsel on land and lot purchase opportunities

Build pro-forma statements and cash flow analyses to support new business decisions

Manage daily cash requirements and banking across multiple companies and project accounts

Prepare monthly and long-term cash flow forecasts

Develop detailed construction project budgets and cash flows

Coordinate monthly construction loan funding with lawyers and lenders

Liaise with cost consultants and prepare documentation supporting construction loan draws

Develop, document, and communicate internal control policies and accounting procedures

Manage government reporting requirements and tax filings

Support month-end and year-end close processes

Research technical accounting issues to maintain compliance

Mentor and oversee one direct report

What You Bring
